When you need a place to stray, long or short, in Calabar there is ample choice (more then 13) , but not ample places where you will be happy to stay at a price /value ratio that is decent. This mid size appartment hotel has a good atmosphere, wifi, great food (best pizza in Calabar, but a real one, when Victoria is around) and best bread ( they have the biggest bakery in Calabar, and wonderfull bread, brown and white, Danish & many other types, twice daily fresh. They owner is usally around too, and is a great Oga !

Our first time in Calabar from London UK as we came for the carnival 2011. Thanks to the fantastic experience at Adrian’s place we have now fallen in love with Calabar and honestly can’t wait to return soon! The service and staff are second to none; their fresh fish stew, yam and plaintain is a treat first thing in the morning after a good night out. Good value for money and the owner himself is a really nice guy. The hotel gives personal attention and has rooms, that are large with everything you need, a bit European, as a lot…

We stayed in Adrian’s for my brother’s wedding. The hotel had the basic amenities for a budget hotel and location is quit safe. The bathroom could be upgraded and the staff could be a little nicer (could not really blame them for being cranky, it was a party crowd). Overall I will give it 3 stars for international travelers.
